Clue/Question: The lumberjack could chop through a piece of wood in a – – –
Answer: SPLIT SECOND
(Tricky little pun! It took me a few looks to get the answer. There are no new clue words today. However, all of the jumbles did come up as new. I think David went with the hiding in plain sight theory with his “depict” jumble. The answer letter layout is what made getting today’s answer a little bit of a challenge. A nicely cryptic jumble. Fun cartoon. The dialog definitely helped in solving the answer. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
A great, self-referential Jumble today! This one can be solved in, well, a *split second.* Only odd thing is that ORNERY seems infrequent in print, even though it’s really common in casual speech.
Grand puzzler. Hal, my mom always told me I was ornery! But you are right, don’t see it in print often.
UNC! That baby is so cute, and what different looks for the plaid flannel shirt. I’ll take the brawny guy! 🙂 LL
