Clue/Question: He wanted to expand his collection, and the Mesopotamian abacus would make a – – –
Answer: NICE ADDITION
(I wonder if Lyda ever used this? Hmm. The ever popular abacus theme makes its annual return. None of the clue words were new, but all of the jumbles came up as new. I didn’t find any of them difficult. The answer letter layout was the best jumble. It did a commendable job of disguising the answer. But, the answer was no strain on the brain. The cartoon is full of detail, but due to the reduced Jumble in the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle I think I’m probably missing out on a lot. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
I have my Dad’s Chinese abacus. I remember him using it back in the ’60s when working on the household budget. I don’t know how to use it, though. Never really learned.
I’ve always thought that an abacus was so cool. And had no clue how to use it. So neat your dad used one Damid!
I am finally getting better at vowel starting words. They usually hang me up.
Unc, great pictures. I would so love to play in that emporium!
Take care all. LL
