Clue/Question: With planes landing one after another the sky was filled with – – –
Answer: AIR LINES
(Not a bad pun. But, if some of them are chemtrails they could be – dun dun duuuun – government planes! The idea sounds nutty to most people, but even many famous people are convinced of them. I know people who are completely convinced that every line in the sky is the result of the government doing stuff to us, and/or manipulating the weather. I don’t completely discount these assertions, but like Freud is said to have said: Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar!
There were no new clue words today, and only two of the jumbles came up as new. We’ve definitely seen “slofs” and “gamie” before. “Floss” is one of those words that spells out in alphabetical order. The answer letter layout was a nice jumble. And, the cartoon definitely got the point across. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

BTW: There are no ‘chemtrails’ !
The ‘contrails’ we see today look different than the ones of our youth because modern jet engines aren’t the same as the ones of our youth: They’re bigger, more powerful, more fuel efficient, and suck in more air at higher temperatures, all of which creates bigger chem…I mean, contrails.

The photo posted came up in a Google search for chemtrails. Someone put those two photos together. Remember I said even some famous people believe in them? Well, apparently both Prince and Merle Haggard believed in them, and even sang about them. You can believe what you want, but you can STILL see the old contrails. No one’s saying chemtrails replaced contrails. So, I don’t think the more noticeable chemtrails have anything to do with newer more powerful jets. I don’t swear by them, but I don’t discount them either.

Well, I know no technical words for the trails that planes leave. Or why you see them sometimes and why you don’t always see the trails. And I had issues with this jumbler.
The lines following the planes were trails to us. My husb handed me my jumbler and told me he had figured it out already. I advised him he had not because he had not unjumbled the jumbled words yet, but had jumped directly to the cartoon/puzzler answer. That is a no no! And when I was having difficulty solving the puzzler, he could not understand it!
Fervor was right tricky and also slowed me down. And when I saw GAMIE I thought I might need a break. Then IMAGE hit me! IMAGE always ties me up. Maybe no more?!
