Answer: SLIPPED HIS MIND
( . . . when you absentmindedly text while you’re walking in the Winter! It seems everywhere you look these days nobody wants to take personal responsibility for themselves. PSAs put all the emphasis on the drivers, while they show the pedestrians completely oblivious to everything that is going on around them. They even have the nerve to show the “innocent” pedestrian, looking down at their cell phones, while wearing earbuds. The pedestrian, especially in the crosswalks, has always had the right of way. But, it was always your own responsibility to pay attention to the lights and signs, and to look both ways before crossing, AND then to stay alert. The pedestrian has always been at a disadvantage, and the drivers should always be cognizant, if not vigilant, of them, as well as bikers and skaters, etc. But, there has to be a shared responsibility. What is the point of being “in the right” when you’re severely injured, or even dead? Don’t expect the world to look out for you, because it won’t. Survival is about being aware, and being smart.
Hey, no new clue words today! I hope ralis95 saw yesterday’s spoiler though. All of the jumbles did come up as new. They were all fairly simple today. The answer letter layout was good, but it couldn’t hide a fairly obvious answer. The cartoon is very amusing. Jeff’s Wolverines lost a heart-breaker to my brother Geoff’s Seminoles, the other day. Oh, well. That’s the way the ball bounces! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
