“Beware of monotony; it’s the mother of all the deadly sins.” —Edith Wharton
(I kind of figured out the author first. Which helped me realize that the last word wasn’t SIPS! I guess “monotony” is the eighth deadly sin! Be well and do good, friends.) —YUR
Clue/Question: The rodent who lived in the big city was growing tired of the – – –
Answer: RAT RACE
(I think this is a well worn Jumble theme. Almost a Junior Jumble in its ease. All of the clue words are old favorites, even though it’s been a while since we’ve seen “forage”. Three of the jumbles came up as new, with “faret” having been used previously. That jumble gave me pause for a couple of seconds. It’s a good one. The answer letter layout was a great jumble, but like I said, the answer wasn’t very tough. The cartoon, however, is classic! Really beautifully drawn, with lots of detail. I especially like the fat rat by the garbage can, with the chicken bone in his hand. Lots of fun. Be well and do good, friends.) —YUR
