Visual Description: Prop as “lovely assistant”.
ALOTG = GLOAT, PUNIT = INPUT, HMIRPS = SHRIMP, RETESO = STEREO — Giving us: GLAINTSHIPSTRE
Clue/Question: They called the trick by many names, but Marco thought they were all . . .

Answer: SPLITTING “HARES“
(Ooh! Super, excellent, stinky pun! Lots to love about this one. All of the clue words were old favorites, but three of the jumbles came up as new. We’ve definitely seen “alotg” in the past. It took me a few seconds to come up with “stereo”. The answer letter layout did an extraordinary job of hiding the answer. A superior jumble, whoever came up with it. For the answer I was looking at the cartoon, and the clue/question, for words they weren’t using. I was thinking MAGIC, but no M or C, and the word wouldn’t make sense in quotes anyway. But the quotes finally got me seeing HARES, and then SPLITTING, and the pun became evident. It’s fun because, normally a magician saws a lady in half. Usually his “lovely assistant”. Rabbits are merely props. Something to pull out of a hat. So, to substitute the rabbit for the lady was the ingenious part of this clever cartoon, and great Jumble. Great job, Dave Blazek. My paper does not carry “Loose Parts”, but it looks like a great strip. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
