(Excellent Halloween pun! Although, this one does seem strangely familiar. There were no new clue words, which was not all that surprising. But, all of the jumbles were also of the used variety. And, that is a little unusual. The answer letter layout appears to be “new”, and it’s a great jumble. The cartoon takes the cake though. Besides the classic horror movie characters of Frankenstein’s Monster, the Wolfman, and the Mummy, you have the ’60s television couple from Bewitched, a 1970s’ Josie, of Josie and the Pussycats, and a Harry Potter. From what I remember of Elizabeth Montgomery, she wouldn’t have to resort to witchcraft to make Dick York fall in love with her. She was gorgeous! My favorite secondary character from the show was Aunt Clara. She was so sweet, with the best of intentions, but she was so befuddled that she would always mess up her spells. She also reminded me a little of my Gramma. And, my next favorite secondary character was Abner Kravitz. He was the perfect, cool, low-key foil to his wife, Gladys, who was a screeching, annoying busybody. I’m just finding out that the original Gladys, Alice Pearce – a terrific character actress – was only on the first two years, because she died of ovarian cancer! I never knew that. On a much lighter note, the show also introduced a lot of us to Paul Lynde, who played Uncle Arthur. His snarky sense of humor was always hilarious. So many great memories of that show. Be well and do good, friends. And, Happy Halloween!) — YUR
