Visual Description: Majestic jet.
VANLA = NAVAL, NAPAD = PANDA, TROYSM = STORMY, TALYLE = LATELY — Giving us: NAAPDSYLAE
Clue/Question: They parked the new 747 jet in clear view so people could see it – – –
Answer: “PLANE“ AS DAY
(Oh, that’s a beautiful stinker of a pun! I remember when they first came out with these. I was about 11 years old, and they were a huge sensation. A two-story jet plane that was roomy and comfortable. Most definitely NOT like flying today. Today, the airlines are nothing but a bunch of money-grubbing fascists. I love to travel, and I use to love to fly, but I just don’t have the patience to put up with the indignity of the entire industry. Simply put, I despise these colluding leeches. I don’t believe in Hell, but if there was one, I’d wish that they all burn in it. Be like sheep, if you want, but I’m done with their crap. And now, on to the Jumble.
No new clue words today, but three of the jumbles were new. They’ve definitely used “napad” before. I really liked “troysm”. The answer letter layout stumped me for about 10 seconds. The quotation marks were what got me on the right flight path. Great cartoon of the Seattle/Everett area. Is that a Jumbo jet, or a Jumble jet? Lot’s of fun! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
