Visual Description: The Chomolungma charge.
RUCYL = CURLY, ZOTAP = TOPAZ, LAADSN = SANDAL, PROCEP = COPPER — Giving us: RLYTOAADLOPP
Clue/Question: To get to the summit of Mount Everest, climbers have to – – –
Answer: PAY TOP DOLLAR
(I guess the guys have peaked for the week! I think we’ve had this idiom in different situations, in the past. They gave us another new clue word today, in “curly”. Ralis95 will have to update his world famous database once again. And, all of the jumbles came up as new today. They were all dandies. The answer letter layout was also a cryptic jumble. But, the clue/question just begged for the first word to be PAY, and the pun came very quickly. The cartoon is beyond cool. Frigid, I’d say! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
SANDAL took me a second or two. I was stuck for a few seconds on the final answer, until I read the dialog. The talk of money made PAY an obvious first word. At that time, TOP came to mind and DOLLAR followed from the remaining letters. Very nice!

I had trouble with SANDAL as well. Like the others, I thought PAY was the obvious first word.
