Answer:  POUNCE BACK

(A nice, stinky pun!  And, a great Jumble!  It looks like the Brits don’t like the word “leapt”.  I guess they would prefer “leaped”.  Tough cookies, guys!  All of the clue words are old favorites, but all of the jumbles are new.  None of them stumped me any.  The answer letter layout was a superb jumble.  If it weren’t for the leading nature of the clue/question, I might not have seen the answer.  The cartoon was a classic nature scene.  And, very amusing.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Excellent pun indeed! OCCUR used to be in “toughest words” list, but not anymore. PLURAL did give me some trouble, though. For the final answer, my first thought was BOUNCE BACK, but there was only one B. This immediately clued me in to the correct answer, POUNCE BACK.
