Visual Description:  Having “fun” with baby bro.

Clue/Question:  When asked if the horror film was too scary for his little brother, he said – – –

(C’mon!  You know that he did this on purpose!  That’s what some/a lot of big brothers do.  LOL!  No new clue words today, but three of the jumbles came up as new.  They’ve given us “serds” before.  I thought all three of the new jumbles were very good, especially “pegima” and “rolisa”.  “Afoot” is one of those words that spells out in alphabetical order.  The answer letter layout was another nifty jumble.  The cartoon is a hoot.  The intentionally scary clown came from the warped imaginations of a few poor slobs who seemed to find the benign clowns scary.  They come from the same kind of kids who thought that Santa Claus was “scary”.  I never had that problem, but I know that they’re out there.  You just never know.  I even once knew a girl who was scared to death of butterflies!  Can you imagine?  LOL!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Well, I know of people who thought they were not scared of strange looking clowns, but almost had a heart attack when they run into one at a dark alley. lol

I didn’t like today’s clue very much. The answer is the OPPOSITE of what the big brother is saying!!! The answer is more like: I DIDN’T THINK SO. Anyway, I initially guessed I’D —— SO, but quickly realized that it should be I’M AFRAID SO. AFOOT took me a second, and MAGPIE took a bit more thought. It is (and has been for a while) in my “tougher words” list for a reason. On the positive side, SAILOR was also in that list but I saw it immediately this time.

Late to the party as usual!

A minor correction: ATFAO = AFOOT should be OTFAO = AFOOT.

I hate it when I get the letters wrong and spend a lot of time trying the to unscramble the puzzle using the incorrect letters. I’m sure we all do that on occasion.

Really enjoy this website, though I only make it by one or two times a week.

Thanks, for keeping me honest, BobE! The correction has been made. — YUR
