(No new clue words today, but three of the jumbles came up as new.  We’ve seen “merfa” before.  It always takes me a couple seconds to see “metric”.  I blame Reagan!  The answer letter layout was nicely cryptic.  Nothing given away.  The cartoon conveys the story very well.  Happy Autumn, everybody!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
