Clue/Question:  When the twins ordered the ‘Buy One Get One Free’ lunch special, it was – – –

Answer:  “TWOS–DAY“

(I don’t know for sure where it originated, but I remember back in the early ’80s when my – then – radio station, 102.7 FM WNEW-NY, first started playing two songs by the same artist, one after the other, all day long, on Tuesdays.  And, they called it “Two-fer Tuesdays”!  It grew popular very quickly, and before you knew it, every other station had something similar.  I’m sure some stations must be doing it to this day, but I can’t say for sure.

None of today’s clue words were new, but two of the jumbles did come up as new.  We’ve definitely seen “nuygo” and “tefsay” some time in the past.  The answer letter layout was pretty good, for a seven letter answer.  The answer made for a good pun.  I just hope that LindaLee’s newspaper ran the right day’s Jumble!  The cartoon is just some good, basic diner fare.  The wife and I just came back from our favorite diner.  We’ve never been disappointed there.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
