Answer: BAIT AND SWITCH
(They need to call the Better Business Bureau! Beautifully set up pun. And, another thirteen letter answer! I always like the longer answers. They usually present more of a challenge. No new clue words today, but all of the jumbles did come up as new. The answer letter layout is awesome! I don’t think it gave anything away, and I wouldn’t be surprised if some of you struggled to get today’s answer. Great outdoor scene cartoon. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
Wouldn’t it have been funny if the celebrated ‘sinking sailboat’ was in the background, or a sinking rowboat! =D The usual super puzzles and pictures have been even super-er, the last many days! =)
What a cute fly fisher person Unc! Great puzzler! And no issues.
Vjay, are you familiar with “bait and swtich”?
Jenn, hope the doggie is doing OK! LL
I thought she was “cute” too! — 😉 YUR
Right on, LL. I had heard of “bait and switch” but did not know what it meant and so had a hard time solving this one. I guessed that AND was the second word but couldn’t get anything sensible for the other two words. Then, I tried BIT for the second word – no success. Finally, after more than two and a half minutes, it struck me that the first word was BAIT. Then, the answer followed quickly. I almost gave up on this one. Brilliant pun!
After seeing the answer, I can’t believe that this one stumped me.
It happens to all of us, Joe! — YUR
Thanks, Linda Lee, she is a trooper and so far is doing pretty well in her ‘new normal’, knock on wood!
AAAhhhhh, that’s good! LL
