Clue/Question: The fast-growing trees were selling very quickly because they were – – –
Answer: SO “POPLAR“
(A great stinky pun! I love poplar trees! No new clue words today, but three of the jumbles came up as new. They’ve used “doore” in the past. The answer letter layout was another nice jumble. You just knew it had to be SO something. Fun cartoon. Love the name of the nursery, Family Tree. Very clever. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
RODEO, which used to be one of my toughest words to solve, came to me instantly. However, SHYLY took a few seconds. Like UR, I immediately guessed that it was SO something and that led to the answer very quickly. I hadn’t noticed the nursery name. Very clever indeed!
Super neat Jumbler!!! No issues solving anything. Finished rather quickly … but not like flash aka VJ.
This will probably be the kiss of death, but I’m STILL caught up. Out of town for two weeks looming!! I’m going to try to get them daily instead of having them stack up at home.
Unc, I did not realize a poplar tree looked like that!! I think my neighbor put them between our houses. They are going to be giant…and his tree guy said not! Oy! LL
SHYLY took a minute for me as well. The others weren’t too much trouble. The answer took some time as well, couldn’t tell from the cartoon that they were poplars. They looked more like the columnar Arborvitae to me; my neighbor in back planted a bunch of those on the property line. I have a couple that I planted as decoration, but also considered them for a similar reason before my side neighbor put up a privacy fence.
Damid, you give me hope that my neighbor did not plant poplar trees between our yards. LL
