“They don’t care how much you know, unless they know how much you care.” — Source Obscure
(Besides obscure, I think this must be archaic. Too many people don’t really care about either. They just care about what they can get out of you. Not the best way to make America great again! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
I may be naively optimistic, but I like to think there’s an abundance of good and giving people out there…they just tend to be under the radar and don’t make the news nearly as much as the splashy-selfish-shallow-All-About-Me people do!
Your recent quote (““They don’t care how much you know, unless they know how much you care.” — Source Obscure”) brings me back to the 90’s when, at the papermill I worked at posted a motivational poster which read “Our customers don’t care how much you know they only care how much you care.”, written across four lines. I like to tilt at windmills and be a minor $%^& disturber. So whereas I wouldn’t do it myself, I made the suggestion of a change to a coworker – which may or may not have been acted upon. Stroke out two of those four lines and it became “Our customers do not care how much you care” Just sayin’.
I was alluding to most employers these day, jenn. Very little loyalty these days. They just want employees that they can get away with running them into the ground. Then wave *bye bye* to them, and hire the next victim. — YUR
