Clue/Question: The computer whiz loved his new electronic piano. He was a natural – – –
Answer: ON THE KEYBOARD
(One of those literal puns! Not bad. We do have a new clue word, in “payout”! Our good buddy, ralis95, will have to update his world famous database for this word. It’s another one of those compound words, that DID make me hesitate to write it down. But, I confirmed it by backing into it. A little surprising, because I thought the answer letter layout was a superior jumble today. No giveaways. The only jumble that was not new today was “seryds”. Fun cartoon. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

OK, not caught up here yet, and have made a few comments for some July and August posts. So, I’m trying not to see today’s answer. But wanted to come here for a current post and make a general comment.
Unc, I had noticed the change on the blog, then it was all bloggy again, so I figured you had been out.
Only today as I was going through the blogs did I find the posts as to why the blog had been truncated,
I, too, do not come to the blog to see the answer….well, sometimes that is imperative! But I do enjoy the blog tremendously. And I so appreciate the time, effort, and work you put into it.
I had noticed some impatient peeps lately who were not so nicely inquiring as to where the blog was. I’m guess they were just clueless, and VJ did a good job of giving an explanation of the blog to one of the “inquirees.”. YEA VJ!!
As far as the “LIKES” go, I am not a blogger nor do I have an account with WordPress or a web page/site. When I hit like, WordPress wants me to log in. So I always try to click on the 5th star.
I do save my jumblers in the paper so that I can continue to work through them in order. I do go back to the blog and read through everyone. And sometimes, even though very old, I just have to comment!! I do try not to do that often 🙂 as I know it can be confusing.
Glad to see you, to see everyone!! LL
LL,
I just look at the blogs of others who visit, and I see dozens, sometimes hundreds, of “Likes”. I get 4 or 5. Also, the comments I do receive are seldom about what I’ve written. They’re just about the puzzle itself. My number of “Followers”, which has increased nicely since last December, is still modest, to say the least. After doing this for over 8 years the whole thing gets pretty frustrating.

Dear UR, Quality, not quantity. You rock!
LL, ditto on the ‘impatient peeps’ thoughts, and also about VJ explaining things well to said ‘peeps’. 3 Cheers for VJ! (ps, every now and then, I have what I call a ‘VJ’ moment, when I get the words solved in the speed of light- not often, but those are banner Jumble days! =)
Unc, what I was trying to say is that you may not have that many “LIKES” because of the many people like me who do not have a blog or website and DO NOT have an account with Word Press. When you click ‘LIKE,’ you are asked for a password for your account. I discovered this some time ago and when I tried to set up an account, so that I’d have a password, so I could LIKE your blog, they wanted my web site info…which I don’t have. 😦 LL
Gosh, seems like I have some followers here. 😉 Thanks, LL and Jenn. That is very flattering. UR, I agree with what the ladies said. Lack of likes is often because (1) people do not know that there is a like button, or (2) it requires an account on Word Press. Please don’t misconstrue it as a lack of love for your work. All I can say is that the creators of Jumble are among your followers. What better testament could there be to the quality of your work?
PAYOUT gave me trouble on this Jumble. I initially typed in OUTPAY for some reason! The final answer was fairly easy, even with the wonderfully cryptic answer letter layout.
