Clue/Question: The woodpecker hoped the tree would be home for a long time, – – –

Answer: KNOCK ON WOOD
(. . . knock together! I woke up this morning to the sound of a woodpecker pecking at the eve of my roof! I hate that! But last night, while walking Wally, I was serenaded by a couple of hoot owls. That I like! Sure, it’s a little spooky. But, hopefully, they’ll help reduce the number of chipmunks we’re seeing around here. The little buggers are everywhere. They are cute, but I have never seen this many chipmunks in my entire life. Naturalist have “credited” the extremely mild winter we had last year. They’re not particularly destructive, but they drive Wally nuts!
No new clue words today, but again all of the jumbles are coming up as new. Once again, my bias prevented me from seeing “casino”. Even backing into it, all I knew was that I needed an O, a C and an N. All I could come up with was “casion”, which isn’t really even close to being a word. My daughter saw it in one second! The answer letter layout was great, but with all the Ks and Ns and Os the answer was pretty obvious. The cartoon was great, with the male woodpecker having the more vibrant coloring, the little Home Sweet Home sign above the hole, and then a picture hanging on the wall above a chair, inside the tree. Nice attention to detail! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
