Clue/Question: When the wind stopped, he told everyone on the sailboat to – – –
Answer: STAY CALM
(What’s not to like about today’s Jumble? You’ve got Gilligan, the Skipper and Ginger Grant! Although, surveys show that Mary Ann Summers was the one most guys said they’d like to be stranded with on an island! The pun is alright, but it’s the cartoon that makes today’s Jumble special. No new clue words, but all of the jumbles did come up as new. I actually erred on “plaid”, by writing down “palid”. The real word I was thinking of is pallid, but this still gave me the necessary A and L. Which only goes to show – and pay close attention you unenlightened ones who sometimes disagree with yer Uncle’s points of view – even when I’m wrong . . . I’m right! Thank you. Thank you. I’ll be here all week. Try the veal. Besides enjoying patting myself on the back, I’m also going to start a new urban legend. Today’s cartoon is the precursor to our beloved Jumble’s classic sinking sailboat. Yeah. The winds finally picked up, but Gilligan navigated our friends just a little too close to a reef. And . . . well . . . the rest is Jumble history. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Ambush – misfit – stay calm – anything to do with current events?
Palid was my first thought as well, but there was only one L available. The rest went quickly, once I got past trying to jam in CALM DOWN as the answer; the wrong letters notwithstanding. I knew CALM was one of the words and once I got the clue words…..
AMBUSH gave me a little pause for thought, but otherwise this was very easy.
Why has the answer for Monday July 11 been posted yet? What time are the answers supposed to be posted. I am in the Eastern USA time zone. It would be helpful if the answers were posted promptly.
I hope all is OK on your end, UR. I haven’t seen any posts in a few days. But you know, it’s a great time for summer vacation! – RHO

Thomas, UR is doing voluntary work here. I think we need to have some patience. 🙂
I was unaware it was a volunteer who maintains the site. Thank you for informing me. Have a nice day and smile!
