“Science has not yet found a cure for the pun.” — Robert Byrne
(It’s a good thing I took the time to look this one up. When I was solving this, my first thoughts on the last word were either FUN or SUN. But, both the F and the S were already in use. So, with my fairly linear mode of thinking I went to GUN. I thought it was some kind of political statement. As I was reading all the clever Robert Byrne quotes, I was thinking why was this one so devoid of humor! So, I typed in the entire “quote” into Google . . . and nothing came up. Then it hit me! I keep forgetting that so many people – erroneously – believe that puns are the lowest form of wit. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
