Answer: ROCK SOLID
(Okay. So, I kind of gave away part of the answer, in the VD. So, sue me! The boys have been on a hot streak lately, either with difficult puzzles, or/and great cartoons! No new clue words today, but three of the jumbles are new. We’ve seen “cotdek” before. We haven’t seen “lousy” in quite a while. The answer letter layout was a fine jumble. Nothing obvious there. The drawing is really great! Top notch likenesses of Mick and the boys! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Thanks for info. Not that it matters, but I guessed TOCKED instead of DOCKET. I wonder if you run into multiple words for a given set of letters on occasion. JB in Tacoma
BRIAR gave me a lot of trouble. I instantly typed in RABBI and then realized that it didn’t fit. I couldn’t see the correct word right away, so I moved on to the other words. LOUSY and CLOUDY were instant, but DOCKET took me a few seconds. I initially thought of LOCKED but there was no L. DOCKET occurred to me after a little thought. Finally, I got BRIAR. The final answer was fairly easy, although it took a few seconds to figure out.
Not as of yet, JB. “Tocked” is not a valid word. It sounds like it might be legit, but you won’t find it in an established dictionary. Sorry, my friend. — YUR
Though I agree “Rock Solid” is the definitive answer, I will argue that “Rock Idols” also is a solution.
And, I will wholeheartedly say that I L.O.V.E. your answer . . . BETTER than the definitive answer, Melia! That is both so cool, and so true! Even the phrasing of the clue/question lends itself to YOUR answer. This is a relatively nothing blog, but I wonder if David L. Hoyt got similar comments to your version of the answer.
Thank you so much for the comment! Please, don’t be a stranger.

That is a great thought, Melia. I agree with you.
