(Beautiful pun!  And, a nice long 13-letter answer!  Was this one difficult?  I think for the majority of regular Jumble fans this was not.  All of the clue words were old favorites.  Three of the jumbles look to be new.  Hoyt has used “kiyls” before.  The answer letter layout was nicely cryptic.  A wonderful jumble itself.  Lots of fun with Jeff’s cartoon.  Guitar and keyboard.  Old-style telephone and cassette tape.  The pen holder on the console could be the one-eyed cat, from Shake, Rattle and Roll.  Priscilla’s high-hair.  The coup de grâce is the TV, with a bullet hole in it!  The fatter, Vegas-style Elvis seems a little out of place though, but only by a year or so.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

    Difficult? No – merely impossible!

Even guessing KING was part of the answer, I didn’t solve it.

Some days we’re on the exact same page, Art. And, other days we’re miles apart! — YUR 🙂

I’m with you today, UR, on this falling-off-your-chair EASY Jumble! It’s a little hard to depict multitasking before the advent of smart phones, pads, tablets, and the whole array of Internet+communication devices that can occupy us today. But Dave & Jeff did fine depicting the electric piano keyboard, land line phone, guitar neck, Priscilla holding the baby …

It was hard for me too. GREAT Jumble, and a wonderful clue, with all the necessary information in there, but it took me nearly a minute and a half to see it. Like Art, I immediately guessed that KING was part of the answer; indeed, that it was the last part. Yet, the rest took a lot of thinking. I think the biggest difficulty for me was coming up with an answer with two contiguous K’s.

Hey, hal. Maybe you and me are little more visual than Art and Vijay. We just SAW it very quickly.

I received a bunch of e-mails from people saying that today’s Jumble was a very tough puzzle for them to solve. I had a feeling this one would be that type of puzzle. I’ve mentioned in the past how I’ll get e-mails within seconds of each other with one person saying how easy a puzzle is and another person saying how difficult the very same puzzle is to solve. Today’s puzzle was a very good example of that. What’s easy for some people can be hard for others and what’s hard for some can be easy for others. It sure makes my job very interesting. Thank you Uncle Rave for what you do because you and your fans help me to become a better puzzle maker thanks to all the comments, which I try to look at as often as I can. I really appreciate it!

It started out hard, as none of the words came to me at first glance. But when I sat down and paid attention, it went fairly quickly. ALBUM took the most time. As far as the cartoon, I knew KING was one of the words. The other two took a bit of time, but it came eventually.
