(I’ve finally gone off my rocker!  Or, have I???  Jeff’s stage magician looks remarkably like Lin-Manuel Miranda, who stars as Alexander Hamilton, in Hamilton, on Broadway.  And the audience magician could pass for a young Snape, the brooding dark magic creepy dude in the Harry Potter stories/films.  I think his character ends up other than his outward appearance, as you reach the end of the tale.  But, the Snape most of us remember was very capable of dirty tricks.

There were no new clue words today, but three of the jumbles came up as new.  They’ve used “catrt” in the past.  All of them were fun.  The answer letter layout was another great jumble, that didn’t give anything away.  The cartoon and the clue/question set up the whole thing very nicely.  It took me no time to figure out the answer.  The cartoon was pretty amusing.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

PS.  All the photos of Lin-Manuel Miranda provided by Zemanta, are “owned” by Getty Images, and I will NOT consent to their terms of use.  But, trust me.  He rocks the ponytail, beard and expressive eyebrows.      YUR

Lin-Manuel Miranda’s look is not unique. That would be the likeness of magician/mentalist, Max Maven. With a sly looking Cris Angel messing with him. Abracadabra!

Just looked up Max. He and Lin-Manuel could be father and son! LOL! Didn’t know you were such a magic fan. I’m sure I’ve seen Criss Angel on TV. Hey, David Blaine also looks a little like Lin-Manuel.

Great anecdotes, UR and Jeff! I learn so much from this blog. I thought maybe a second for GASKET but everything else was instant, including the final answer. 9 seconds overall.

Criss Angel was my first impression of the guy in the audience. As far as the puzzle, GASKET was the hardest word.
