I do not want people to be agreeable, as it saves me the trouble of liking them.”   —   Jane Austen

(Is this a line from one of her books?  Or, was she some kind of misanthrope?  It has to be from one of her characters, right?  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Answer:  KNEW HOW TO PICK ‘EM

(Very good pun.  No new clue words, but all of the jumbles are coming up as new.  “Wicked” is kind of a strange word.  It ends in ED but it’s not a past tense word.  Can anyone think of a similar word?  Fantastic answer letter layout!  I don’t think it gave anything away.  Interesting cartoon.  I’m not sure if that is supposed to be some famous guitarist, but I know Jeff is big into music.  It might explain the salesman’s strange offer of “I’ll buy back the last two you bought for twice what you paid.”  Unless it was supposed to be some kind of misdirection.  Hmm.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
