Answer: PLAY WELL
( . . . and do good! Of course, Mom is a fan of Uncle Rave’s! Uncle Rave is HUGE with the ladies! LOL! All old favorite clue words again today. Three of the jumbles were new, but “laptel” is an old favorite too. The answer letter layout was a fine jumble, in its own right. Nothing given away. The cartoon shows a very convincing young boy’s bedroom. He’ll have to get well before he can play ball. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

I had not heard of PALLET before, but I guessed it anyway (almost instantly as well). The final answer was easy, but I don’t see the pun.

Good one today. Also noticed the Old English D on the boy’s jersey, Detroit Tigers. Fits in with the playoffs cartoon from a few weeks back, the guy was wearing a Detroit Red Wings jersey. 😀
I got all the jumbles instantly and got the pun right away 🙂 And the only thing missing in the boy’s room is a mess! 😉
Our good pal, Jeff Knurek went to the University of Michigan. He’s a big fan of Detroit teams. When I was a kid, before I *developed* my fanatical fandom to MY teams (Buffalo Bills and New York Mets), I rooted for Detroit teams. Particularly, the Tigers and the Lions. But, also the Red Wings, to an extent. I still enjoy when the Tigers do well. It’s been ages for the Lions. My other sports fan town has always been Pittsburgh. I’ve long been both a Pirates fan and a Steelers fan.
What Midwest teams are you a fan of?

Play well means get healthy? OK. I hadn’t heard the phrase in that context.
Not “get healthy”. Play Well as in being healthy enough (well enough) to play.

Oh, I see …
YUR, I root for all the Detroit teams, as I live in the area now. I grew up near Seattle, and after college, I was given the choice of either a small town in Texas in the middle of nowhere, or the Detroit area. Since the area had all the major sports like Seattle plus hockey, the choice was easy! 😀
