Answer:  GET UP AND ATOM

(I promise not to challenge you dear readers today!  Apparently, I was a bit too intimidating yesterday.  Although the cartoon looks to be original, the answer definitely rings a bell.  Regardless, it’s still a good pun.  There are no new clue words today, but two of the jumbles have come up as new.  We have seen “gautoe” and “narpyt” in the past.  Welcome letter groupings in the clue words!  Makes my job that much easier.  The answer letter layout was super, but you just knew the first two words were going to be GET UP.  And, from OMADANT it was easy to get AND ATOM, and the pun.  Somehow, Tuesday became the busiest day for Uncle Rave’s Wordy Weblog, and the combination of Tuesday and Wednesday made for the busiest two days in the blog’s history!  It seems that both the jumbles for purser and hectic were pretty challenging, along with the final answer, of course.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

I had to think one second for OUTAGE. For the final answer, I guessed right away that the first three words were GET UP AND. Unscrambling the last four letters still took me a second or two, but once I got ATOM I understood the pun. Not a big fan of it though – feels like the Jumble creators were trying too hard to make a pun (there is a nice word for such puns that is escaping me right now).

I thought it was “get up and glow” until I realized there weren’t two Gs. Also: Not complimentary to nuclear power plant workers.

GET UP AND GLOW would have been hilarious, Leslie! — YUR

I was thinking Get Up And Glow as well, but there was no W available. ATOM took a bit of juggling as OUTAGE was a bit tough and I was letter-fiddling.

I originally thought it was GLOW and then it took a minute to figure out it was ATOM. I liked GLOW better!
