Answer:  DUEZIE

(As in:  DOOZY, kids.  I can see some of you having a little trouble getting this one.  DOOZIE would be a variant of DOOZY, and I think you all get the DUE part of a credit card bill.  We actually have a new clue word today, in “muzzle”.  Our buddy, ralis95 can add this to his world famous clue word database.  We’ve seen the jumble for “deceit” before, but it still tripped me up a little.  Nice answer letter layout.  It was the fifth jumble today.  Nice domestic scene cartoon.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Due-zie was a crum-ie answer. It is a poor word mis-spelled. Even looking at it now I don’t see it .

“Doozy” – what an interesting word. Originally, in the roaring 20’s, it was short for that wonderful automotive marvel, the Dusenberg; hence “that’s a real Duzzie!” Later, when the car was no longer popular, the word stayed in the lexicon but morphed into the current “Doozy.” And thus ends the lesson for the day.

Glad you feel the same way, John! I hated today’s final answer. And not because it took me around 2 minutes to get … DECEIT is in my “toughest words” list and gave me some trouble today too. The rest of the words were straightforward.

    Loved your anecdote, though, ralis!

I had trouble with Deceit, only because I kept misspelling Due-zie as Due-zee. So I put the two Es together which got me nothing. Argh!
