“The person who is brutally honest enjoys the brutality quite as much as the honesty.” — Richard J. Needham
(“Possibly more.” is the rest of the quote. A lot of people just seem to lack that little filter that prevents us from saying hurtful, yet technically honest, things to each other. I’m sure it’s more learned behavior, than an actual physical aspect of the brain. With those kind of people you just take what they say with a grain of salt. But others definitely adopt the behavior on purpose. They try to candy coat it by calling it refreshingly honest, but there is definitely an underlying bitterness to it. We all should follow the golden rule, and try to choose our words thoughtfully. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

UR, I’ve always wondered why some people get a pass when they are rude, aka, ‘refreshingly honest’..they are excused by others saying ‘that’s just how they are’. It’s still wrong/rude/potentially hurtful. I’ve never understood why people Just Can’t Be Nice! Is that so hard??
