A world of vested interests is not a world which welcomes the disruptive force of candor.”   —   Agnes Repplier

(This reminds me of a current commercial – I don’t remember what for –  where a guy in a business meeting wants to stand out as some kind of maverick, so when the boss asks if everyone agrees, he says No, that’s a dumb idea.  Next thing you see is him being escorted out of the building, with a box of his personal possessions.  It also kind of reminds me of when I was in banking, and they kept pushing for the repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act.  I really had no say, but they eventually got their way, and eventually we all got Too Big to Fail.  Those huge bailouts added to an already out of control national debt.  A handful of fat-cats’ vested interests were served.  I guess that makes all of us their servants.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

PS.  Hey, Zemanta is back!  Aaahhh . . . content!   —   YUR
