Visual Description: Bovine Van Lines!
COREF = FORCE, GEMAO = OMEGA, DINKUN = UNKIND, NCAATV = VACANT — Giving us: ORCOMGUKIVNT
Clue/Question: To transport his cows, the farmer rented a – – –
Answer: “MOO–VING“ TRUCK
(Hay! Where’s the beef? Did someone just step in a cowpie? Because that is one stinky pun! This might be tripe, but I think we may have seen a boviform of this rodeo sometime in the past. Maybe someone can prod my memory. It seems udderly familiar to me, somehow . . . now brown cow.
The clue word “unkind” came up as new, but I think that we have had it before. Most likely on a Sunday. Regardless, our friend ralis95 will be adding it to his world famous clue word database. The jumble “gemao” has definitely been used before. All the others came up as new. The answer letter layout was sublime! A world class jumble. The cartoon’s truck has put me in mind of Movin’ On and B.J. and the Bear. Those were fun TV shows from the mid to late ’70s. Any of you kids remember those shows??? Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Great pun indeed! UNKIND took just a bit of thought. For the final answer, I guessed that the second word was TRUCK. I then realized that the first word was a pun on MOVING. The reference to cows then made MOO-VING obvious.
My immediate thought was that the solution was ‘Moo-Haul truck’, a pun of ‘U-Haul’ truck! Obviously not, though! Got a laugh from the circled letters in ‘omega’ were ‘omg’, and wasn’t it clever that ‘vacant’ scrambled was ‘ncaatv’. It only took me 8241 seconds to complete the puzzle. I’m kidding, just yanking your chain, vnatraj1! -(sorry, I forgot your first name!)- I’m miles behind you in puzzle-solving times! =) Stay toasty, all Jumblers in the deep freeze this weekend!
I got the ‘Moo-ving’ part right away; the quote marks being the giveaway that a pun was in order. And, I remember an old riddle where the answer was ‘moo-ving van’. TRUCK was a bit of a stickler; I thought it might be Wagon, but no clue had a W in it. DINKUN was an issue as well, I got stuck on ‘Dunkin’ (as in Dunkin Donuts, it was breakfast time when I started working on the jumbles). At that time I put the puzzle away for later. 😀
I also got stuck on DINKUM. My immediate unjumble was NUDNIK, a perfectly good English word in New York City. I checked my Webster and Oxford English Dictionary, and the word NUDNIK was in both. However, the Answer then included the word MORON, so I gave up, and waited for your report. An amusing sidelight on the Game.
Welllllllllllllll . . . “perfectly good English” might be a stretch, Shimon. Perfectly good Yiddish? Absolutely! I think that kind of excludes it from “ordinary words”, as a limited number of English speaking people are familiar with it. I love it though! Maybe we can get the guys to come up with a Jumble that uses all familiar Yiddish words! That would both be fun, AND a big challenge for most of us.

Jenn! Greetings. I’m catching up with this puzzler today! OMG, I missed that totally.
I remember Movin’ On, Unc. Never watched BJ and the Bear, but I do remember the title. And that cow pie was just loverly.
What a grand PUNNY jumbler!!!! It was actually one of those rare times I read the cartoon first, and then actually knew the answer. I never read the cartoon first. I get to work on the jumbled words and go from there. I had not had any coffee yet, so I think I wasn’t quite awake and was confused.
And thank you David for me now craving a chocolate, chocolate iced Dunkin cake donut! Oy!

LindaLee,
I saw Claude Akins in an episode of Rawhide, on METV, like the day before this Jumble! How’s that for coincidence?! — YUR
