(I’d say more wordplay than pun.  Not terribly difficult.  A nice long answer though!  All of today’s clue words are old favorites, yet all of their jumbles came up as new.  The only one that took me some thought was “mutate”.  The answer letter layout was actually pretty good.  It’s just that there are two visual clues in the cartoon.  One, you see the guy grabbing his arm, in pain.  And two, the company name on the banner/sign in the background is Kingco, which could be a play on Kinkos.  A kink is a pain, that can be caused by a pull.  And of course, the clue/question was very leading.  Great cartoon.  All the letters might have made it seem like it was going to be more difficult than it ended up being.  I guess size isn’t everything!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

SUMMER took me just a second and MUTATE did give me trouble. The final answer took a few seconds of thought as well.

You have to learn how to pick up on the hints that they put out there, Vijay. Today was cake. — YUR

As bad as I was yesterday, it zipped along today. The first three words came right away. MUTATE was a problem, though. Took awhile, and at least for me, it didn’t seem to be an ‘ordinary’ word per the puzzle description. The cartoon was quick also. 😀

You are right, UR. I need to learn to pick up on hints especially from the cartoon. That said, I did solve the Jumble in 20 seconds or so, so it was not too bad. 🙂

There you go, Vijay! Just think though. If you HAD picked up on those hints, maybe you would have solved it in 10 seconds! Maybe you could have broken your all-time record! 😉 – – – YUR

My all-time record is 7 seconds. I haven’t been able to beat that, try as I may!
