Answer:  LIKE HOTCAKES

(One of those literal puns!  Not at all stinky.  I love the smell of pancakes in the morning!  Smells like . . . victory!  Especially, when they come with a side of bacon, or sausage.  Mmm!  No new clue words today, and only two of the jumbles came up as new.  we’ve seen “kejro” and “darisu” before.  The answer letter layout did not give away the answer.  It was a dandy jumble in itself.  The answer is just another one of those classic American idioms.  Beautifully detailed cartoon.  The one waitress is carrying a pot of coffee, the little plate with extra pads of butter, the order rack, the heat lamp, and the order up bell!  And, I think that waitress in the background looks like she could be Donald Trump’s sister!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

I found PALACE purely by accident. I was thinking ALPACA but there were too many A’s in that word. Then, I started typing in PALACA, but the last letter was an E, of course, and the word got solved just like that. Could have taken me forever otherwise. The final answer was really straightforward.

I just now figured out PALACE!! It really confounded me! Now I’m trying to figure out the answer. This puzzler is giving me a run for my money!!!! 🙂 I See a comment above that says, “The final answer was really straightforward.” Oy, so far not so much for me. We’ll see. I refuse to throw in the towel!! Hopefully will be back later.

    Glad you got it, LL!

Vijay, I also saw ALPACA at first, but realized that there was no E in ALPACA.
