(Duuuuuuuuuude! That is just too middle of the road, ultra-objective . . . even for me. Both of these “emotions” can be fairly extreme, with a lot of gray in between. But, surely, there are very definitive times of happiness AND misery, where no comparison is necessary. He must’ve either jaded, or a little too comfortably numb when he made this statement.
