Visual Description: Comic book costume party.
TURET = UTTER, SIPEO = POISE, TAFSEY = SAFETY, GIRHEH = HIGHER — Giving us: TTOAYIHR
Clue/Question: His knowledge about the Scandinavian god of thunder made him an – – –
Answer: A-THOR-ITY
(Cute! If one of the characters had been a foul-mouthed fat kid, named Cartman, and the guys provided another A, then the answer could’ve been A-THOR-TAY. But, that might have been more of a stretch for the rank and file Jumblers, who might not be fans of South Park. All of today’s clue words are old favorites. And, we’ve seen two of the jumbles, with “tafsey” and “girheh” seeming to be new. The answer letter layout was masterful. No hints there, whatsoever! The cartoon is a lot of fun. It looks like some kind of Comic-Con. Is the selfie dude, posing with Wonder Woman, supposed to be anybody, or just some fan? I couldn’t tell. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
PS. The spoiler postings might be hit or miss for the next few days. I’ll have to see how things go. Your patience is appreciated. — YUR
