Visual Description: The gift of Arabic Numerals!
LIHYL = HILLY, RUCYR = CURRY, AMDTEN = TANDEM, GAULEE = LEAGUE — Giving us: HICRTDEEGE
Clue/Question: The number that equals four plus four didn’t exit until it was – – –
Answer: “CRE–EIGHT–ED“
(Maybe this Jumble was inspired by The H8ful Eight (The Hateful Eight) advertisements! Maybe not. It works as a stinky pun, anyway. We do have a new clue word today, in “league”. It can now be added to the world famous ralis95 clue word database! All the jumbles came up as new today too. The word “hilly” is another word that spells out alphabetically. The answer letter layout was a swell jumble. If the cartoon, its dialog, and the clue/question weren’t so leading, this answer letter layout would have been tough to un-jumble. The cartoon was an enjoyable historical peek at ancient history. Lots of fun. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

LEAGUE took me several seconds to figure out, and TANDEM was not immediate either. EIGHT was an obvious part of the final answer and I guessed that the last two letters were ED, CRE then became clear.

Ah. Another favorite jumble word: GAULEE. I was half expecting to see Gomer Pyle somewhere. 😀
League gave me fits as well! My wife got it in about 30 seconds! For some reason the answer didn’t come to me right off. I just couldn’t see it. Finally after about 2 hours of thinking about it it just popped into my head.
Damidwesterner,
I thought the exact same thing, and was going to put it somewhere in my comments. I guess I either got distracted, or thought only old time TV junkies, such as myself, would appreciate it. Thanks for bringing it up!

Joe Key,
Way to hang in there, buddy! I didn’t realize this answer was THAT difficult, but the query numbers back you up. Maybe I’ve been doing this too long, and I’m losing perspective.

League held me up a day. I looked at the actual cartoon and today and checked out the clue letters I had….there was EIGHT! But EIGHT what??? Still needing a G and an E and I wasn’t sure what else, I finally got LEAGUE, then guessed at the jumbler answer and got it. At first I didn’t get it as I was reading it wrong. Good one guyz!
