(PICKLES!  Do they have a dog in this strip?  I know there’s the old man and his wife, and a grandson.  But, is there a dog?  Maybe I’m thinking of Fred Basset.  Both of these strips are in my mom’s newspaper.  They’re not in mine.  There is a dog, named Pickles, in Luann!  That I know.

There were no new clue words today, but three of the jumbles came up as new.  We have definitely seen “tuyoh”  before.  The answer letter layout was wonderfully cryptic.  It gave away nothing.  And, the cartoon was very amusing.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
