(Cute pun.  We have no new clue words today, and only two of the jumbles are new.  We have definitely seen “lortl” and “nedtoe” before.  The answer letter layout was sufficiently cryptic.  I don’t think it gave anything away.  I always like Jeff’s period cartoons.  I have to agree with the woman.  Running water is usually preferable to the standing water of a pond.  If nothing else it’s less buggy.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
