Answer: BOO–HOO
(Something dark and easy to start the work week. We do have a new clue word, in “hobnob”. We need to alert ralis95, so he can update his world famous clue word database! It was the only word to give me any trouble. I suspected it, but confirmed it by backing into it. The answer letter layout wasn’t all that cryptic. And, with the cartoon’s dialog, the answer was pretty self-evident. But, the cartoon was cute. It’s not often that The Jumble deals with actual death. There are ones with un-dead zombies, and ghosts after the fact, but I can’t remember one where a person, or creature, was depicted as expired. They always say there’s a first for everything! Does anyone out there remember when The Jumble displayed a death? Oh well. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
