Answer:  BOOHOO

(Something dark and easy to start the work week.  We do have a new clue word, in “hobnob”.  We need to alert ralis95, so he can update his world famous clue word database!  It was the only word to give me any trouble.  I suspected it, but confirmed it by backing into it.  The answer letter layout wasn’t all that cryptic.  And, with the cartoon’s dialog, the answer was pretty self-evident.  But, the cartoon was cute.  It’s not often that The Jumble deals with actual death.  There are ones with un-dead zombies, and ghosts after the fact, but I can’t remember one where a person, or creature, was depicted as expired.  They always say there’s a first for everything!  Does anyone out there remember when The Jumble displayed a death?  Oh well.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

A woman is the full circle.  Within her is the power to create, nurture and transform.”   —   Diane Mariechild

(Okay.  The first two are pretty self-evident.  But, I’m not quite sure what she means with the transform part.  I know a lot of women who thought they could transform their flawed men, only to end up in divorce court, or worse.  They think they can bring out the good, and build upon that.  But, more often than not, the sow’s ear remains a sow’s ear.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
