AGREW = WAGER, DUYMD = MUDDY, RUSASE = ASSURE, NOCUBE = BOUNCE — Giving us: WAMSUE
Clue/Question: When he showed his wife the abacus he’d bought, she thought it was – – –
Answer: “AWE–SUM“
(I guess we’d have to call this a classic stinky pun! All the clue words were old favorites, however all the jumbles came up as new for me. The only one that gave me any trouble was “nocube”. It’s always a little tricky, for me, when a single syllable word sounds out as a two, or three, syllable jumble. For a short answer, the answer letter layout was pretty decent. The quotation marks around the answer blocks made it pretty easy to get. It’s nice seeing Jeff incorporate a little more of his family vacation in his cartoons! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
