The Spiritual Solution

Me? I like the commentary better than the quote. — YUR

ME and the Boss

.

“The grievous problems

facing mankind today

can be solved.

However the solution

must be a spiritual one

for material and intellectual ones

have been tried and found wanting.”

.

~ Eric Butterworth

.

.

The smarter we think we are,

the more gadgets and taller buildings that we build

only leads us to a more smug and distant attitude

that is destroying our society at its core.

The spiritual solution is simple,

kindness and love are the principles

that will allow humans to survive

in spite of themselves.

Today, be a part of the solution.

Life is a problem with a spiritual solution.

Life is to live and love in the here and now.

Answer:  SWIMMINGLY

(More like a day late, and a dollar short, guys!  But, it made for a nice pun.  We actually have a new clue word today, in “muggy”.  Our good friend, ralis95 can add this to his world famous clue word database.  And, all of the jumbles came up as new, for me.  The answer letter layout was nicely cryptic.  Nothing obvious about it.  And, the cartoon looks to be a flashback to Jeff’s childhood.  The little kid looks like a junior Jeffy!  Maybe those are just swim goggles.  Anyway.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

(I think he kind of borrowed, and built upon, this from the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “no one is free until we are all free” quote.  It’s a sentiment that, unfortunately, not enough people adhere to, because there are far too many people in this world who are really enslaved, or live in slave-like conditions.  This is a blight upon humanity.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
