Clue/Question: People enjoy playing Jumble on a regular basis because it’s
Answer: “PUN“ TO SOLVE
(That it is! Puns are fun. And, so is unscrambling jumbled words! None of the clue words are new today. And, even though all of the jumbles did come up as new, I was able get them right away. Even “poetic”. The answer letter layout did a great job of making us work for the answer. If you have a large enough version of today’s Jumble you can make out many things in Jeff’s cartoon. There’s one cell of the now defunct “Cathy”. Probably just to bug me! One of a “Pearls Before Swine” that reads: “This isn’t the Jumble!”. And, a “Family Circus” featuring Billy asking about the first K in Knurek. It’s not like knife, know or knot! The Jumble itself is either a preview of things to come, or one that we saw a while ago. Does anyone remember one about a stage performance of the Jumble, with Will Shortz in the audience? It looks like there might even be an I ♥ Jumbles mug below the guy’s chin too! Yeah. Jeff went all out on this one, so you better all appreciate it! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
