Answer: “THERM–MOM–METER“
(Nice, long, 13-letter answer! Probably could have worked with two less Ms, but I guess Hoyt felt they were necessary. None of the clue words were new, but all but “vormee” were new jumbles. Great answer letter layout. Maybe the extra Ms made it a little tougher. Classic family scene cartoon. Nice to see the Dean Winters Allstate character used as a clue word. LOL! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

I went back and forth between THER-MOM-ETER and THERM-MOM-METER but here’s why, in the end, I went with THERM-MOM-METER. A THERM is actually a unit/quantity of heat and METER is a gauge so I sort of liked it better that way. It was a tough call. I went back and forth a few times before deciding.
Sure. The technical route. That works. I guess I was just expecting the phonetic. — YUR
