(Always seemed like a decent sort.  Much better looking, and more intelligent, than her hubby.  But, I have to wonder, if she’s as cut throat as Mama Babs!  That is one tough old broad!  Apologies to all my right leaning friends.  It’s all just for S & G!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Answer:  IN HIGH SPIRITS

(Yes, they were!  Fun pun!  Fairly long too.  All of today’s clue words were old favorites, but three of the jumbles came up as new, for me.  Only “gastim” has definitely been used here before.  The answer letter layout was nicely cryptic.  A fine jumble in itself.  Even though there was only one vowel – maybe because of it – it took me a minute or two to figure out the answer.  At first, I was thinking the second word might be either THIN or SIGN.  Not sure, right now, which hit me first, SPIRITS or HIGH.  Probably HIGH.  Fun cartoon.  Takes me back to my childhood.  Nice way to start out the week.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
