Clue/Question: When they asked Robin Hood if he’d like to have their next meeting in the forest, he said he – – –
Answer: SURE WOULD
(Now, this is a traditional groaner of a pun! But, it’s pretty clever. I hadn’t heard this one before. Did David L. Hoyt come up with it on his own, or was it suggested by a Jumble fan??? Hmm! There were no new clue words today, but all of the jumbles came up as new, for me. I struggled for a few seconds with “buryg”, but I think I’ve struggled to get “rugby” before. I think today’s answer letter layout was a wonderfully cryptic jumble. I don’t think it gave away a thing. Jeff Knurek’s cartoon was very amusing, if not a tad awkward. It kind of looks like they’re looking out to an island, instead of a forest. But, I liked the drawings of Robin, Little John and Friar Tuck . . . and the critters. Three of Sherwood’s finest scoundrels! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
