Answer:  LOGIC WAS SOUND

(“Mary had a little lamb.”  Those were the first words Edison ever recorded on his first cylinder phonograph.  No firsts today, as far as clue words go.  But, three of today’s jumbles came up as new.  Only “crodh” has definitely been used here before.  The answer letter layout was excellent today!  A fantastic, cryptic jumble!  And, a great period piece cartoon.  Lots of fun.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
