“If someone’s dumb enough to offer me a million dollars to make a picture, I’m certainly not dumb enough to turn it down.” — Elizabeth Taylor
(I bet she said this some time in the 1960s! Well, maybe early 1970s. It reminds me of the Dr. Evil ransom demands in Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery. A believable demand in the early Bond movies, but played for laughs in the Mike Myers movie. Remember when a million dollars was . . . a MILLION DOLLARS? With all the government talk of Billions and Trillions of dollars, a million bucks comes off nowadays as relative pocket change. Where did we go wrong??? Oh, well. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
