English: The Apollo 11 crew conducting a crew compartment fit and functional check, of the equipment and storage locations, in their command module. Peering from the hatch are from left, Neil Armstrong, commander; Michael Collins, command module pilot; and Buzz Aldrin, lunar module pilot. Armstrong and Aldrin later conducted a similar check aboard the lunar module, which carried them down to the lunar surface on July 20, 1969. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Answer:  OVER THE MOON

(Very nice tribute to man’s landing on the moon!  Our friend, Michael Collins, was the driver though and he never got the opportunity that Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin did, which was to actually walk on the moon.  But, he was very instrumental to the mission, and was a great astronaut in his own right.  He is still alive and kicking, at 84, and will turn 85 on Halloween!

No new clue words today, but all the jumbles came up as new.  The answer letter layout was nicely cryptic, and gave nothing away.  I like when the answers are good figurative and literal puns!  Great cartoon.  Today’s comments are the color of green cheese!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

I’m just checking in to say hi. Things have been crazy busy. I’ve been playing games with kids as part of the Chicago Public Library’s “Summer Learning Challenge” all July. It’s very fun. I’m behind on everything but it’s well worth it. I wanted to mention that I also love today’s pun because it’s both figurative and literal at the same time. I love these types of puns the most. Hard to top these figurative/literal puns.

Always a pleasure when one of “our guys” pays us a visit! Sounds like a great summer for you, David L. Not surprised you enjoy the figurative/literal puns too. You’re the word-man! — YUR 🙂
