“I have found the best way to give advice to your children is to find out what they want and then advise them to do it.” — Harry S. Truman
(Good ol’, plain talkin’ Harry! He knew that if you advise someone to do something that they’re not really interested in . . . a bunch of bad was likely to occur. Most of it ending up in some kind of resentment of you! So, pay attention to your kids likes and dislikes, and take your cues from there. Many of you have probably heard that the “S.” in his name didn’t really stand for anything. Well, it’s true. But, it was also a kind of compromise/tribute to both of his grandfathers, Anderson Shipp Truman and Solomon Young. Which is very nice, and at least not so random sounding. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
PS. It turns out that this is kind of a milestone post. It is this blog’s 5,555 post! It’s kind of a nice, odd, round number! — YUR
