Answer:  FACE TIME

(Not the kind through your I-Phone!  You know, modern technology is really effecting the way we speak.  This:  #  used to be known as the number sign, or pound sign.  But thanks to Twitter, people are calling it hash tag now.   To the point where it really gets annoying.

There were no new clue words today, and only the jumbles for “amuse” and “divine” were new.  But just as an FYI, “effort” is another one of those words that spells out in alphabetical order.  The answer letter layout was also a great jumble.  I don’t think it gave away a thing.  The cartoon is reminiscent of the Disney cartoon Beauty and the Beast.  At least to me it was.  Not as tough as yesterday’s jumble, but still a lot of fun.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Ditto on your thoughts regarding twitter’s takeover … #annoying! =) And I also thought the puzzle’s picture was from ‘Beauty and the Beast’ before I read the clue.

Add me to the foes: Twitter strikes me, as does texting, as a pursuit for those who can’t compose a coherent English sentence.

But I always called that glyph the “octothorpe”.

    jenn & Art,

I was pretty sure I wasn’t alone in this. Thanks for the confirmation! But “octothorpe”, Art? That’s a new one on me. But, it checks out as legit. I love learning new things! — YUR
