Answer:  KEEPER

(Goalkeeper, goaltender, netkeeper, netminder; these are all terms for goalie . . . in case ya didn’t know.  Hey, the majority of my readers are American, and most Americans tend to be allergic to soccer!  Things are getting better all the time, but futball is still too demanding of most Americans’ attentions.  The scores are generally too low . . . and there’s not enough hitting.  It’s a great sport, but when most Americans want to see a low scoring chess-match . . . they watch baseball.

No new clue words today, but all of the jumbles came up as new, for me.  I liked “befall” the best.  The answer letter layout was good, for a six letter answer.  And, another fine cartoon, from our favorite kidney donor!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Love one another and you will be happy.  It’s as simple and as difficult as that.”   —   Michael Leunig

(The simple is pretty obvious.  The difficult is being able to put aside things like:  race, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, etc., etc.  These are the anchors that weigh us down, when we all should be floating in harmony.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
