(Goalkeeper, goaltender, netkeeper, netminder; these are all terms for goalie . . . in case ya didn’t know. Hey, the majority of my readers are American, and most Americans tend to be allergic to soccer! Things are getting better all the time, but futball is still too demanding of most Americans’ attentions. The scores are generally too low . . . and there’s not enough hitting. It’s a great sport, but when most Americans want to see a low scoring chess-match . . . they watch baseball.
